Roccia lavica o Meteorite marina

Rocce trovate sulla riva della spiaggia nel mare Adriatico centrale, se ne possono trovare a migliaia. Il dubbio rimane in attesa di nuove indagini. Si potrebbe trattare di roccia lavica proveniente da chissà quale vulcano, il più vicino nella zona del ritrovo potrebbe essere il monte Conero di cui per la sua anomala forma si potebbe trattare di un antichissimo vulcano. Un altro motivo a favore di questa teoria è che di questo tipo di roccia, oltre che se ne possono trovare veramente tante lungo la spiaggia, sono molto simili tra loro e dal modo in cui sono state usurate dal mare sembra che abbiano lo stesso tempo, un pò come se fossero il prodotto di una o più potentissime esplosioni vulcaniche vicine nel tempo. La seconda teoria è che il meteorite una volta entrato nella nostra atmosfera ed esploso, il materiale ancora caldissimo cade in acqua e freddato in pochi istanti si sarebbero formati questi fori. Si notano tracce rosse sul materiale di origine ferrosa, ma non su tutti i pezzi che sono stati trovati.
